ABOUT
The history of St. John Armenian Church spans more than 75 years and reflects the heritage, culture and faith of Armenians and the rich and complicated history. The building of St. John Armenian Church represents years of preparation and research as a team of architects and consultants traveled to Armenia to study the classic architecture. The dedication and consecration of “the church with the gold dome” was performed November 20, 1966. Expansion and improvements continued until today with the most recent renovation in 2022. The campus boasts a grand ballroom, a smaller event Saint Vartan room, the Mardigian library, gymnasium, classrooms, the AGBU charter school, veteran’s hall and the Manoogian Museum. The beautifully appointed grand ballroom completely renovated in September 2022 with expansive palladium windows, coffered elongated hexagon ceiling with remote lighting options and a professional stage are the perfect appointments to inspire and design your unique event. The grand ballroom offers ideal ambiance with sophistication and impeccable details.
OUR HISTORY
THE GRAND BALLROOM can accommodate up to 600 for a sit-down dinner or 500 sit-down dinner and dancing. The recently renovated room is traditional elegance with a contemporary vibe. A coffered hexagon ceiling with remote colored lighting adds ambiance and pop to any function. The wall sconces, stunning palladium windows and professional stage conveys an aura of modern sophistication.
SAINT VARTAN ROOM is a smaller room for guests under 100, ideal for showers, luncheons, brunch, engagement, birthday or cocktail parties, baptisms, or rehearsal dinners. State of the art gallery style lighting also makes this the perfect venue for art openings or showings.
VETERANS HALL is an alternative venue for casual celebrations and events for 200 guests or less; this option allows the host flexibility to be more creative and trendy. The perfect space for graduation or birthday parties, reunions, office or holiday parties, award banquets or the bride and groom who want to customize their wedding with their own creative vision. The possibilities are endless in the Veteran’s Hall.
